Nakul Vaid Biography

Nakul Vaid is a noted film actor associated with Bollywood, known for supporting roles. Ab Tak Chappan (2006) was one of his major film roles. He played less significant roles in Baghban (2003), Yatra (2006), Chak De India (2007) and Lunchbox (2013). He played the male protagonist Mohandas in the highly acclaimed film, Mohandas (2009). His performance won him won a special jury prize at the Innsbruck International Film Festival, Austria, and nominations at different film festivals. He also played lead roles in less known movies - Samvedna (2002) and With Love Tumhara (2006). Started off his career as an assistant director in Bollywood, he completed two decades in the film industry. He has also acted in a few TV serials.

Nakul started his film journey as an assistant director of Bollywood in the year 1995. He started off as an assistant director for Indra Kumar for the movie, Raja starring Sanjay Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit. He made his first appearance for the television series Sukanya in 1998. He was also seen in the crime series, Rihaee in 2005. He played a less significant role in Baghban (2003), his first credited film role. He got opportunity to work with veterans like Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini through this film. Since then he has played both lead and supporting roles in Bollywood films.  

Ab Tak Chappan released in 2006 was one of his major breakthroughs. His role as Inspector Jatin Shukla was well appreciated. He won applause for his stunning performance in this Shimit Amin film. He was also seen Yatra, Happi, Rama Rama Kya Hai Dramaa? etc, apart from a few films in lead roles. He played lead role in With Love Tumhara, sharing screen space with Preeti Jhangiani and Parvin Dabas. Nakul plays cricket and football also.
