Nachiket Dighe Biography

Nachiket Dighe is an actor and voice actor who dubs for Hindi, Marathi, and English languages. He is mostly associated with foreign language films and shows dubbed to Hindi and Marathi languages. He is the official Hindi voice dub-over artist for Kevin Jonas and Toby Amies. Rupert Grint's role as Ron Weasley, in the Harry Potter film series indeed made him a popular dubbing artist. He was only 19-year old engineering student when he dubbed for this movie. Buford van Stomm and Jeremy Johnson for the animated show Phineas and Ferb, and Kenji for Pokémon anime are other major works. Nachiket Dighehas dabbed into different fields – acting, modelling, singing and dubbing, though he holds two academic professional degrees entirely different from his chosen professions.

 

He was born in Mumbai on 11 November 1987. He holds an electronic engineering degree and MBA in Marketing from Mumbai University. He is also into musical field, with Sangeet Visharad in Tabla from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, apart from Hindustani music as a vocalist. He dabbed into the field of dubbing while doing his engineering degree. He is a child star since the age of 6, who entered modelling as a child model and he has been featured in several ads that time. He was featured as a child artist in TV serials too.

 

The sitcom Meethi Meethi Batein marked his television debut and it was aired on DD National. He got opportunity to work with Sachin Pilgaonkar, Nirmiti Sawant and Niki Aneja Walia for the show. He was also seen in the kids’ series, Shakalaka Boom Boom, and Avinash IPS. He appeared as a child artist in the movies - Lagi Sharth, Wrong Mauritius, Aadharstambha etc. He started his career as a dubbing artist at the age of 11 in 1999.
