N. Linguswamy Biography 
N. Linguswamy is an Indian film director and screenwriter. He has also produced some films and works mainly in Tamil film industry. He entered the film industry as a director in the year 2001 and has given many successful films.
Linguswamy was born on 5th April 1977 in Thirucherai village near Kumbakonam in Tamil Nadu. He was born in a large family and his N. Subash Chandrabose is also with him in the film industry producing films through the production company Thirupathi Brothers. As he was born and brought up in village, he used to watch many movies as this is the only mode of entertainment for them. At his younger days, he was a great fan of director Bhagyaraj who was a great inspiration for him. His style of film making also resembles the style of Maniratnam.
After trying for sometimes he was able to join A. Venkatesan as an assistant director. He worked with in the films Mahaprabhu and Selva. He then worked with Vikraman in his film Vaanathaipola. His first film as a director was Aanandham with Mammootty produced by Chaudhry. The film was released in May 2001 and received positive reviews and the film won many awards and honors. He was shot to fame when The Hindu newspaper listed this film as one of the best of 2001.
He then directed the film Run starring Madhavan which was also critically and commercially successful. The success of this film made him commit many more projects. Some of his movies like Ji starring Ajith also met with failures and ended up as a huge loss to the producer. The film under his own banner Paiyaa starring Karthik Sivakumar and Tamannaah was a huge hit.
He has produced some films himself under the banner of his Thirupathi Brothers namely Deepavali, Pattalam, Paiyaa, Vettai, Vazhakku Enn 18/9, etc. He has worked as screenwriter for films like Paiyaa, Vettai, Bheema, Anandham, Run, Ji, Sandakozhi, etc.
