Muhsin Parari Biography

Muhsin Parari is a young film director associated with Malayalam cinema. He started his career with a music video - Native Bapa (2013) starring veteran actor Mamukoya in the lead role. The Malayalam hip hop album with a social message on Islamic terrorism by Mappila Lahala music band went viral over the net. Within 6 days of release, total views crossed 1 lakh in you tube and media too take the subject with seriousness as it is. Later he worked as an assistant director under a few directors before directing his debut film - KL 10 Patthu in 2015. The movie starring Unni Mukundan, Chandini Sreedharan and Aju Varghese in lead roles received rave reviews from critics.

Muhsin Parari was born on 23 September 1988 in Edavanna, Malappuram. He completed graduation in English and Islamic jurisprudence. His debut music video - Mappila Lahala, based on a real life incident is the outcome of discussions of the group of young men from Malabar. The group comprised of medical student Haris, mass communication teacher Noushad, Sufi musician Sameer Binsi, Zacharia and Nazrulla Vazhakkad. The music video was given the title - Native Bapa. Actor Mamukoya played the father's role in the album, who narrates the incidents. Its narrative was written by Muhsin Parari himself. Actually it was a poem he wrote during his college days as fun; it was his debut poetry work too.

Muhsin Parari has worked in Students Islamic Organisation of India after his studies. He started his film journey as an assistant director for the movies - 5 Sundarikal (2013) and Last Supper (2014). He wrote the dialogues of Dayam 12, the debut movie of Harshat. In 2015 KL 10 Patthu marked his film debut. The movie has football as the main theme, with a love story.
