Moon Moon Sen Biography 
Moon Moon Sen is a very famous Indian actress who worked in Bengali, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi and Kannada films. Among all languages she was most successful in her mother tongue Bengali. She is the daughter of great actress of yesterdays, Suchitra Sen. Her two daughters are also successful actresses and models of today – Raima Sen and Riya Sen. She is married to Bharat Dev Varma, the younger son of Maharaja Ramendra Kishore Dev Varma, who ruled the Indian princely state of Tripura. Apart from movies she is successful in television serials as well. Whole throughout her career she has worked for 60 movies and 40 serials.
Moon Moon Sen was born on March 28, 1948. She did her schooling at Loreto Convent, Shillong and at Loreto House, Calcutta. She did her Master’s degree at Jadavpur University, Kolkata. She was an English teacher before joining movies. She started her career in films and television after marriage and motherhood. Her debut in Andar Baahar (1984) and her bold role in the movie was a bit controversial. She had also starred in Jackie Shroff-Madhuri Dixit starrer 100 days. This suspense thriller released in the year 1991 was a big hit. She played the role of elder sister of Madhuri Dixit whom Jackie Shroff murders. Zakme Dil of 1994 was her last released Hindi movie. Later she became busy with television serials.
Her memorable performances include – Srivennivela, a Kannada movie for which she won Nandi Award for Best Supporting Actress award. She has also won Kalakendra Screen Award, Bharat Nirman Award and Kalakar Awards. She has worked for Bengali movies - Anjali, Gajamukuta, Boi Durjo Raw Hossho, Pujarini, Tumi Kato Sundar, Anterale—Chironjeet, Apon Ghorey, Byabodhan, Rajshwari, Mahashay, Ajantay, Sopan, My Karma, Neel Nirjane, Rajbadhu and Baidurya Rahasya.
She has appeared in Bollywood movies - Zakhmi Dil, Kuchh toh hai, Mohabbat Ki Kasam, Musafir, Jaal, Taj Mahal: A Monument of Love, Love at Times Square, Bow Barracks Forever, Vish kanya, 100 days, Jeevan Ek Sanghursh, Lekin, Pyar ki geet, Waqt ka badshah, Mil Gayee Manzil Mujhe and It Was Raining That Night.
