Mithra Kurian Biography
Mithra Kurian is an Indian film actress who concentrates in Malayalam and Tamil film industry. She has appeared in some supporting roles and got critical acclaim for her portrayal.
She was born on 15th May 1989 in Perumbavoor in Kerala. Her original name is Dalma Kurian. She entered film industry as a child artist when she was a teenager. Her first film was Mayookham in Malayalam directed by T. Hariharan. Then she went to concentrate in her studies and did not show up for a long time.
She reentered in the adult role in 2008 through the film Saadhu Miranda in Tamil by director Siddique. He spotted her on the cover of the magazine named Grihalakshmi and gave her chance to perform in supporting role in his film.
She got chances to act in many Malayalam films and this helped her to gain attention. The comedy film Gulumal: The Escape in which she acted in lead role was a megahit movie that earned her name and fame. She was casted in supporting role in the film Bodyguard.
Some of the films that she has acted include Vismayathumbathu, Mayookham, Sadhu Miranda, Suryan Satta Kalloori, Gulumal: The Escape, Bodyguard, Raama Raavanan, Kaavalan, Ulakam Chuttum Valiban, Masters, Grandmaster, Karikalan, Kandha, etc. She was nominated for Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress – Tamil for the film Kaavalan in 2011.
