Minissha Lamba Biography 
Minissha Lamba is an Indian actress appearing in Hindi film industry. She was born on 18th January 1985 in Delhi in a Punjabi family. She studied at Sherwood Hall School. Then she continued her education at Chettinad Vidyashram in Chennai. In the year 2004, she completed her graduation in English from Miranda House at University of Delhi.
She wanted to become a journalist and when she was studying in Delhi she participated in various ad campaigns like Sony, Cadbury, Airtel, Sunsilk, etc. It was during the shooting of an ad campaign that she was approached by the director Shoojit Sircar. He signed her in his film Yahaan in 2005. Her performance in the film was welcomed very much by the critics.
Some of the films that she has acted include Yahaan, Rocky: The Rebel, Anthony Kaun Hai, Dus Kahaniyaan, Kidnap, Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd, Bachna Ae Haseeno, Shaurya, Anamika, Well Done Abba, Bheja Fry 2, Hum Tum Shabana, Zila Ghaziabad, Joker, etc. Her film Yahaan was nominated for Filmfare Best Female Debut Award.
She acted in the film Bachna Ae Haseeno in 2008 by Siddharth Anand together with Bipasha Basu, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. Her film Well Done Abba was much welcomed in the Cannes Film Festival.
She acted in supporting roles in some films like Corporate, Anthony Kaun Hai, Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd, Shaurya and Dus Kahaniyaan, etc. She took part in the Cannes Film Festival in 2011. When she landed in France one of her bags was stolen and when she returned back she was detained for many hours at the Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport at Mumbai as she walked with undeclared piece of jewelry work Rs. 50 lakh. Later this was resolved as she stated that the jewelry was given by a jeweler in Mumbai for showcasing at the film festival. She was released after she admitted her ignorance about the rule of producing the export certificate.
