Mengu Suokhrie Biography 
Mengu Suokhrie is a Naga singer-songwriter and actress. She is also a music recording artist & vocal teacher. Her full name is Menguse-u Suokhrie, and she uses the stage name, Mengu Suokhrie. Her debut album Love Is All We Need was an instant hit and helped her to gain initial recognition among music lovers. She played lead role in Nagamese-language Drama film directed by Tiakumzuk Aier, Nana - A Tale of Us, released in 2017. It was the most expensive Naga film to be produced at the time of its release, and also met with open reviews from critics.
Mengu Suokhrie was born on 16 September 1987, in Kohima, Nagaland. She belongs to Angami Naga family of the Lhise-mia Thinuo. Her education was done from her hometown Kohima. She took formal training in Classical and Contemporary music. She completed her higher secondary studies in 2006. Later she graduated from Baptist College, Kohima. In 2013 she made her acting debut through a short film titled True Love Will Wait. In 2017 she acted in her first full-length film, Nana - A Tale of Us, which was well received.
She has completed more than 15 years in her profession of singing. As a singer she released more than a dozen of studio albums, and most of them were English songs. "Love Is All We Need", "Beautiful Soul", "My Friends My World", "You are mine" etc are some of her popular studio albums. This natural born singer is best known for her music video “You are mine”, where she appears in a red costume with guitar in hand. Now she is one among the celebrated young singers of Nagaland.
