Meera Mitun Biography

Meera Mitun is an Indian model and film actress, who works in Tamil films. She started her career as a print model, and later appeared in TV ads too. She participated in a few beauty contests, and came to limelight after she became a part of Tamil version of celebrity show, Bigg Boss. She made her debut with a supporting role in 8 Thottakkal (2017). She was later seen in supporting roles in Tamil flicks, Bodhai Yeri Budhi Maari (2019) and Thaanaa Serndha Koottam (2018).

Her real name is Tamizhselvi Mani. She was born on 6 December 1987 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She had a brief marriage, which ended in divorce. In 2013 Meera Mitun was spotted by choreographer Ganesh Guru, who convinced her to try modelling. She gave a few auditions for modelling and got her first fashion show for Co-Optex, a saree brand based in south India. After that she worked with many Indian brands including Kingfisher. She also participated in Miss Face of Chennai beauty pageant, followed by Miss Madras 2015 pageant, where she finished as first runner-up.

Started her modelling career in 2013, she became a familiar face in Chennai modelling circuit within two years, and she modelled for many brands. She took part in Star Vijay's Jodi Number One show in 2015. But her attitude made judges unhappy and she had to quit the show. Meera was crowned Miss South India 2016, which brought her to limelight and helped her to get film roles. She posted a topless picture to mark Tamil New Year in 2018, which invited controversies. She also created controversies and released bad remarks against her inmate Ahmed Meeran in Bigg Boss show.
