Maxwell Trevor Biography 
Maxwell Trevor is an Indian cyclist who is currently a national record holder, and winner of more than 250 medals. He is widely regarded as one of the best cyclists from the country. He has become national champion 11 times. He is currently retired, and is busy with his second innings as a coach. Now he is planning to start an academy. There was a time when Andhra Pradesh used to produce some of the best cyclists in India, particularly in the 1980s. Glen Trevor, Maxwell Trevor, Richard Clark, R.N. Akhtar, Kendall Turner, Russell Turner and Christopher Noguerio are among the leading Indian cyclists from this south Indian state.
Maxwell Trevor was born into an Anglo-Indian family in Andhra Pradesh. He has 5 siblings. Trevor brothers - Glen, Kevin, Gene, and Maxwell are cyclists. He got inspired from his elder brother Glen, who has represented India for cycling tournaments in the 1970s. He was also inspired by Preston Tully, an international cyclist. Later Trevor decided to take it as profession, and was coached by Mumtaz Ahmed, a state-level coach. He used to practise 8–10 hours every day. Maxwell got married and had three children. One of them, Jason won the junior national title and also the third place in the south zone championships.
Maxwell Trevor started his professional career in the year 1980s, and remained national champion 11 times. He has won both junior and senior titles in a career spanning to more than a decade. His unbeaten record of 11.37 seconds bears testimony to say what he really is. He has also participated in Asian Games, Delhi (1982) and Seoul Olympics (1986), Asian Cycling Championships, World Championships and Friendship Games. Trevor served as the coach of the Andhra Pradesh cycling team after retirement. He has been associated with social campaigns such as 'Cycle to Work'.
