Maruthi Dasari Biography

Maruthi Dasari is a Telugu filmmaker associated with Marati Talkies. Known for making good movies with low-budget, Ee Rojullo and Bus stop are his notable works. He received the Best Debutant Director Award at SIIMA Awards for Ee Rojullo in the year 2011. He is also known as a producer and screenwriter associated with Telugu cinema. Associated with Telugu cinema since 2004, he has co-produced movies such as Premisthe, A film By Aravind, Prema Katha Chitram, Mahesh, Romance, Pizza II: Villa, Love You Bangaram, Lovers and Green Signal. He scripted and directed the 2015 romantic comedy film - Bhale Bhale Magadivoy, which was one of the highest grossers of the year. The movie starring Nani and Lavanya Tripathi also received positive reviews from critics. He is currently working on an untitled project starring Venkatesh in the lead role.

Maruthi was born in Machilipatnam, AndhraPradesh in the year 1981. His childhood and teens were spent in his hometown and he moved to Hyderabad after graduation.  He did an animation course before he joined DQ Entertainment International. He did many odd jobs like painting sign boards and numbers plates of vehicles to earn money to study the animation course. He started his film journey as a producer with the film – Premisthe in 2004. He also produced one more movie titled - A film By Aravind in 2006.

Then he continued his profession designing Ads & designs. He made his film debut as a director with the film, Ee Rojullo in the year 2011. The romantic movie received positive response from critics and was a box office hit. Since then he got associated with Telugu cinema as a screenwriter, director and producer. In 2014, he announced a project starring Venkatesh and Nayantara. But the movie got shelved. This director is known for his Adult humour dialogues in his movies.
