Manish Dayal Biography

Manish Dayal is an American film and television actor of Indian origin. He shot to fame after playing recurring role as Raj Kher in 90210. He also played the male protagonist in the movie - The Hundred Foot Journey, where he shared screen space with Helen Mirren, Om Puri and Charlotte Le Bon. The movie tells the story of a feud between two adjacent restaurants in a French town. A. R. Rahman composed its music and the movie was released in 2014. He regularly appears as guest star of Television shows.

His full name is Manish Sudhir Patel and he was born to Indian parents of Gujarat origin. He was born on June 17, 1983 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Hema and Sudhir Patel are his parents and he has three siblings. After completing schooling in the year 2001, he graduated in 2005 from George Washington University. Later he moved to New York to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Currently he is settled in Los Angeles.

Dayal started his career as a model and acted in a few TV ads. In 2006 he made his acting debut through an Indian Telugu film - Indian Beauty. He played parallel lead aside Collin Mcgee, Sairao and Gopichand Lagadapati. The film received average reviews from the critics and couldn’t get much gain from box office. After that he was seen in a few short films. In 2008 he made his international acting debut through Rafta, Rafta – a Broadway show. I'm Obsessed with You (But You've Got to Leave Me Alone), The Hundred-Foot Journey, White Frog, The Sorcerer's Apprentice and Walkaway are his noted film appearances.
