Mandana Karimi Biography

Mandana Karimi is a famous Indian model of Irani origin. She is also a Bollywood actress. Her real name is Manizhe Karimi. Currently she is a contestant of Bigg Boss – Saeson 9. She is known for doing modelling assignments in India and other foreign countries. She made her Bollywood debut through 2015 thriller movie - Bhaag Johnny, where she played parallel lead aside Zoa Morani. Kunal Khemu was its lead hero and the movie was directed by Shivam Nair. Karimi has been an air hostess, who quit the job to do modelling.

Karimi was born in Tehran, Iran to an Indian father, and a Parsi Iranian mother. Her father’s name is Reza Karimi. She was born and brought up in Tehran, where she completed her studies. She was born in a conservative Muslim family and was quite shy and introvert during her younger days. She was interested in arts and activities. Though she stayed at Tehran, she used to visit India occasionally, mostly to meet relatives. Though she received modelling offers, she was not at all interested and rejected many. She has already started a career in modelling in the middle-east. Karimi became an air hostess. But she quit the job to pursue a career in modelling.

She worked with several international modelling assignments and came to Mumbai in 2010. Since then she accepted Indian projects as well. She has featured with many leading Bollywood actors for TV ads and was also seen in a cameo role in 2015 movie – Roy. Shahrukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are the leading stars of Bollywood with whom she appeared for TV commercials. Bhaag Johny is her debut movie, followed by Main Aur Charles. She is to appear in the sequel of sex comedy - Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3.
