Malhar Pandya Biography

Malhar Pandya is an Indian actor from Gujarat. He works in Gujarati films and Hindi TV soaps. He played lead role in 2016 Gujarati comedy film, Romance Complicated, and was also seen in a supporting role in Premji: Rise of a Warrior (2015) starring Abhimanyu Singh. Among his TV roles, his debut role of Harsh in Colors' Hamari Saas Leela is one of his best roles. He has been a part of several mythological shows such as Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev, Ramayan, Suryaputra Karn and the fantasy shows, Naagin 2 and Kavach... Kaali Shaktiyon Se. Ishqbaaaz and Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki are other television works.

Malhar Pandya was born 9 November 1982 to a filmy Gujarati family in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. His father Laxmikanth Pandya is an actor, director, lyricist and screenwriter associated with Gujarati film industry. His mother Bharti Pandya is a Gujarati actress. He has one sister who lives in Georgia. Malhar was into body building field before he turned an actor. He won the title of Mr. Gujarat, which is his best achievement as a body builder.

He started his acting career with television shows, and later appeared in a couple of Gujarati films as well. He first appeared in Ek Daal Na Pankhi in 1999 – a Gujarai series on DD Gujarati.  Hamari Saas Leela in 2011 gave him the first break to Hindi television industry and his role got noticed. After that he got offers from television industry, mostly from Balaji Telefilms.

Shopping is his best pastime. Acting, dancing and practising at gym are his best hobbies. His wife Priya Patidar is a playback singer. Before he stepped into acting he has worked as an assistant director of a local channel.
