Mahesh Anand is a Bollywood actor and producer, best known for playing the role of henchman. He played numerous negative roles throughout his career, though he was not very successful. He wanted to become a dancer. He was a good dancer also; yet got stuck somewhere with villain roles. His mannerisms and body language also suited a villain than anything else! But he played the role of a stylish henchman in numerous movies. His stylish persona made him a smart villain than anything else. He also played the role of a Mafia don son in many movies. He was formerly married to noted television actress, Usha Bachani, known for playing negative roles in Kkusum, Sindoor Tere Naam Ki and Ek Ladki Anjaani Si. After a break from the industry she is back to action now.

Mahesh Anand was born on August 13, 1961. He is a mechanical engineer by profession who wanted to become a dancer, but landed to the list of henchmen of Bollywood. He was quite active in the era of 1980s and 1990s, though couldn’t manage to get big roles in Bollywood. He ‘spoke less’ on big screen and was seen doing actions more. Nowadays he is less active in Bollywood, but busy with cookery shows since 2010. He also does fitness shows for television. He has acted in over 200 movies, and has worked with almost all leading actors of the industry since 1980s. Kurukshetra (2000), Krantiveer (1994) and Coolie No. 1 (1995) are some of his noted performances.

He was an engineering graduate who never dreamt to join films. He was spotted by a modelling agency in the year 1980 and thus he started his career as a model. He became quite successful as a model and it gave him offers from Bollywood also. He did his own stunts and fights for film shootings and once following an internal injury he was hospitalized. His condition was serious and doctors asked him not to do any risk actions. He lost 3/4 of right lung after a surgery and spent two years in hospital. Yet he bounced back. He married twice and now he is single.
