Maadhavi Latha Biography

Maadhavi Latha is a south Indian film actress who works in Telugu and Tamil movies. She made her debut with Nachavule in lead role and went on to act in some successful Telugu films. She has also bagged one Tamil film – Aambala in 2015, a masala entertainer where she played a supporting role. Shh..., Snehituda..., Usuru, Mithunam, Aravind 2 etc are her Telugu releases up-to-date. Her upcoming Telugu releases include - Choodalani Cheppalani and Tholipata. Though she is getting many Telugu films, she is waiting for big banners to accept a project.

Maadhavi Latha is a native of Bellary, Karnataka. Her childhood and teens were spent in Bellary where she completed her school and college education. She holds a degree in Sociology from ASM College for Women, Bellary. She also completed her Economics degree at Gulbarga University, Karnataka. Winner of three Nandi awards - Nachavule in 2008 marked her film debut as lead heroine opposite Tanish, who also marked his film debut. Her role received positive response from critics also. The movie was directed by Ravi Babu and released under the banner Ushakiran Movies. Very soon she bagged a few more Telugu films. Most recently in 2015 she marked her debut in Tamil with the movie, Aambala in a supporting role. She was included in the ensemble cast of three boys and three girls who play the major roles for the movie.

After her debut flick, she was casted opposite Nani for two movies - Shh... and Snehituda..., both released in 2009. With mixed reviews from critics, both the movies sank at box office. She took a break from industry and moved to UK to complete her Master’s degree in in Fashion Designing at Coventry University. She returned back after two years and made a comeback to Telugu films, though it was not impressive.
