Kireeti Damaraju Biography

Kireeti Damaraju is a film actor associated with Telugu cinema, known for supporting roles. He started off with short films in the first phase of his career, and later got promoted to full length roles. His role as "Subbarao" in the Second Hand Movie marked his film debut in 2013 and has appeared in around eight movies since then. Uyyala Jampala, Bham Bolenath, Meeku Meere Maku Meme, Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi, Mental Madhilo and Chal Mohan Ranga are the movies in which he acted till now. He is an engineer by profession and he works with a reputed multinational company. Yet he has never skipped the films offered to him.

He hails from Guntur but grew up in Hyderabad. He used to watch movies regularly. After his engineering degree, he realized that he should do something related to films. He concentrated on to his theatre to polish his acting skills and worked with an MNC five days a week in Bangalore. During weekends he took time to watch all kinds of plays, as a sort of learning. That’s how he learnt his acting basics. He got associated with Adishakti group, where he learnt theatre professionally. He also learnt eye movements, Kalaripayattu and many more things, being a part of the group.

Kireeti Damaraju started his acting career with short films. He was first seen in the short films - "Ontiganta" and "Anukokunda" followed by his first feature film role in Second Hand Movie. Anukokunda was showed at Cannes festival, and his role got noticed. Anukokunda was the first short film from Telugu to be selected for this prestigious film festival. That’s how he bagged his first film role.
