Kanika Dhillon Biography 
Kanika Dhillon is an Indian author and screenwriter. She writes in English language, and works in Telugu movies as a screenwriter. She has done screenplay works for some of the movies of her husband, national award winning director, Prakash Kovelamudi. She is the daughter-in-law of Tollywood director K. Raghavendra Rao and grand- daughter-in-law of cine personality, Kovelamudi Surya Prakash Rao. Thus she is related to Prakash’s uncle director K. Bapaiah.
Dhillon has published three novels, Bombay Duck is a Fish (2011), Shiva and the Rise of the Shadows (2013), and The Dance of Durga (2016). She co-scripted Shah Rukh Khan starrer Bollywood film, Ra. One in 2011. In association with her husband, she has scripted the movie, Size Zero released in Telugu and Kannada. Most recently she scripted Abhishek Bachchan starrer, Manmarziyaan released in 2018. She studied from St. Stephen's College, Delhi and London School of Economics.
Kanika Dhillon was born in Amritsar, Punjab. After studies she relocated to Mumbai. She started her professional career with Shah Rukh Khan's production company Red Chillies Entertainment, where she worked as a script supervisor initially. She also worked as an assistant director for Shah Rukh’s Om Shanti Om in 2007, and also worked as script supervisor for Billu in 2009.
In the late 2000’s she started her career with television industry also, as a scriptwriter, and was associated with a couple of successful shows of the period - Ghar Ki Baat Hai and Ishaan: Sapno Ko Awaaz De. In 2011 she moved on to publishing her first book. The book was titled Bombay Duck is a Fish, and after the success as an author she published two more. She married film actor-director Prakash Kovelamudi in 2014.
