Jividha Sharma Biography

Jividha Sharma, also known as Jividha Ashta is a film actress who worked in Bollywood, Punjabi as well as south Indian films. She also worked in television serials. She shot to fame after playing the lead role in 2002 romantic action movie, Yeh dil Aashiqana. She made her film debut with 1999 Subhash Ghai musical film, Taal, where she played Aishwarya Rai’s younger sister. Narayana Rao Upplapati’s Telugu film, Yuva Ratna marked her south Indian career debut in 2002. Though she couldn’t earn much fame from films, she is quite successful through television roles. She has been a successful model. In 2009 she made her entry to Punjabi film industry through Mini Punjab.

Jividha started her modeling career in the late 1990s before she bagged her first film role in 1999. She started her career as the sister of Aishwarya Rai in Taal, and played her first lead role in 2002 Bollywood film, Yeh dil Aashiqana. The movie was directed by Kuku Kohli and this low-budget film fared well at box office too. She gained popularity through the songs such as Utha Le Jaoonga Tujhe Mai Dholi Mein and Yeh dil aashiqana. Yet Jividha couldn’t earn any opportunities from Bollywood and she moved to south Indian movies and later television. Same year she marked her Telugu debut through the film, Yuva Ratna, where she starred aside Taraka Ratna Ramarao Nandamuri.

Jividha earned success through small screen as well as Punjabi cinema.  She got her big break to Punjabi cinema through Mini Punjab, where she shared screen space opposite Gurdas Maan. She played one of the female leads in 2011 Punjabi film, Yaar Annmulle, and also The Lion of Punjab released the same year. She was paired with Ashmit Patel for the film, Dil Saada Lutiya. She did an item number for the movie, Pinky Moge Wali. Tum Bin Jaaoon Kahaan, Zameen Se Aassman Tak, Fear Files 2 and Savdhaan India are some of her television roles.
