Jithender Yadagiri Biography

Jithender Yadagiri is a cine personality associated with Telugu film industry. He is also associated with Telugu television and Telugu radio. Yadagiri has directed many Telugu films and Telugu soaps, and is also a film distributer. He has also directed more than 20 Telugu radio plays broadcasted on All India Radio. His daughter Spoorthi Yadagiri is a south Indian playback singer who predominantly works in Telugu film industry and best known for item songs. She earned success at a very young age, and is also credited as the youngest playback singer of Telugu film industry.

Jithender Yadagiri was born on 25 May 1969 at Bhadrachalam, Telangana. Y. Srinivasa Murthy and Y. Lakshmi Kumari are his parents. His father wanted him to complete education and get a secure job. Thus he completed his Diploma in Civil Engineering. When his father bought a new television to his home, he got attracted to the television soaps, films and its making. So even after completing his diploma course, he didn’t take a job. Instead he came to industry at a young age in the dream to become a film director.

His father was a stage artist and had a drama company called Karmika Kala Bharathi. It was also one of the reasons why he got drawn towards the field of arts and entertainment. Initially he also worked as a stage actor in his father’s company during his early days. Later he got through All India Radio auditions as a vocalist and an actor, and later got opportunity to direct many radio plays. He performed a mono play called Kanyadaatha in Doordarshan, and later went on to direct many TV soaps as well. He has also directed and distributed a few Telugu movies.
