Jiah Khan Biography 
Jiah Khan is a British-Indian film actress who concentrates in Hindi film industry. She was born into a Muslim family on 20th February 1988 in New York in US and was brought up in Chelsea at London in United Kingdom. Her birth name is Nafisa Khan.
Her father’s name is Ali Rizvi Khan, an Indian American. Her mother is an actress who was popular in Hindi film industry in 1980s named Rabiya Amin. She hailed from Agra in Uttar Pradesh. Jiah Khan completed her degree in literature in London and did her A levels in film studies. Then she joined Lee Strasberg Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York and quit the studies in the middle when she got a chance to perform in a movie. She has two younger sisters.
After the movie GIA by Angelina Jolie, she changed her original name Nafisa to Jiah. She knows to play piano and a trained dancer knowing to dance Salsa, Lambada, Samba and Kathak. She is said to be dating Aditya Bhuvania. The performance of her mother in the film Dulha Bikta Hai by Tahir Hussain is still remembered. Her parents divorced and her mother moved with her children to London and worked there as party hostess. She remarried which also ended up a failure and then started to write for televisions in UK and BBC.
She got a chance to act in the film by Mukesh Bhatt Tumsa Nahin Dekha when she was just 16 in the year 2004. But then as she was too small for such a mature role, she opted out. Her debut movie was Nishabd in 2006 with Amitabh Bachchan and was a controversial one. She got mixed reviews for this film but could get a good exposure.
The film that earned her name and fame was the Hindi form of Ghajini with the same name. She then got chances to perform in few films, some in lead roles and some in supporting roles. Some of her films are Nishabd, Ghajini, Housefull, etc. She paired with Shahid Kapoor in the film Chance Pe Dance by UTV Motion Pictures but was replaced by Genelia D’souza after shooting a significant portion.
The 25-year old actress reportedly hanged herself to death at her Juhu residence on June 3rd, 2013.
