Jerry Lalrinzuala Biography 
Jerry Lalrinzuala is an Indian professional footballer of India national team, and also plays for Indian Super League - professional football league in India. He plays as a left back for Chennaiyin in ISL. Jerry Lalrinzuala was earlier associated with DSK Shivajians who made his India debut against Nepal. He was declared best emerging player of Hero I-League 2016-17. He is playing for India since 2013, and has been a part of U17, U20, U23 and currently the senior team. In 2016 he became the youngest player to play in Indian Super League, and became the emerging player of the series. He was 18 years and a few days past three months, when he marked his debut in ISL.
Jerry Lalrinzuala was born on 30 July 1998 in Mizoram to a police officer. He started playing football at the age of five. His father has played football for army teams. But his parents were not interested in pursuing a career in the field of sports, and they chose studies over sports. He used to attend football trials without the knowledge of his parents, and caught red handed once. He used to carry boots and jersey in his school bag instead of books, and dressed in school uniform, till he was caught one day. Most of the trials appeared on working days, and he was not allowed by his parents to miss school classes. He was beaten by his father that day.
His parents’ attitude also changed one day when Jerry was selected for India U-14 to play in an AFC Grassroots festival in Nepal. He played several impressive matches for Mizoram youth teams, which helped to bag this offer. Since then he has played with all age groups in India, and currently one of the top young players. He took training from AIFF Elite Academy during 2012-2016.
He joined ISL playing for DSK Shivajians. The left wing-back started as an attacking winger and came on as a second-half substitute in the next game against Atletico de Kolkata, when he played his maiden match in ISL 2016. He also became the youngest player of this tournament.
