Ishika Singh Biography

Ishika Singh is a well-known model and Telugu film actress. She was born and brought up in Hyderabad. Her parents were both in the Indian Army. She is a trained classical dancer. As an actress she shot to fame after playing the lead role in Telugu super hit, Hrudaya Kaleyam, a cult spoof action comedy film directed by Steven Shankar released in 2014. The movie marked the acting debut of her co-star Sampoornesh Babu in a lead role. The duo came together for yet another Telugu spoof action comedy film in 2019, Kobbari Matta.

Ishika Singh was born on 10 August 1990 in Hyderabad, newly formed Telangana. Her father serves in Indian army. She attended Kendriya Vidyalaya for schooling at different places and pursued Commerce from IGNOU and an MBA from Sikkim Manipal University. She also holds a DGCA Certified Avionics Engineer License along with a Pilot’s License. She started her professional career as a model, before starting her acting career. She has modelled for leading brands of the country such as Schwarzkopf Hair Color, Colgate, Birla sun life insurance etc. She has also modelled for several Hyderabad-based brands, which makes her a popular face in Hyderabad circle.

As a film actress she has appeared in Telugu super hit, Hrudaya Kaleyam, and its sequel Kobbari Matta, pairing with character artist, Sampoornesh Babu. Both the films got noticed. She has also done one short film, Car Lo Shikarveltay, and an Odia-Telugu bilingual film, Patnagarh. She has also worked in an English movie, Waiting in Wilderness.
