Inaamulhaq Biography

Inaamulhaq is a Bollywood actor and screenwriter, best known for the national award winning movie, Filmistaan which was shown at different film festivals too. He played supporting role in this movie. The movie got theatric release in June 2014. He writes scripts for many successful shows on Indian television. Among those, the most popular ones include - Comedy Circus and Karamchand Season-2. He has also written the dialogues of Bollywood movie, Bbuddah... Hoga Terra Baap which starred Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini in pivot roles.

He was born in Saharanpur in 1979. His association with stage plays started at the age of 12 during his schooldays. He was active in Indian People’s Theatre Association of his hometown for a very long period, where he became a part of many stage shows. In 2003 he graduated from the prestigious National School of Drama in acting.  He directed two short films – The search in 2005 and Parchayiyaan in 2004, for which he received appreciation. He reached Mumbai after that and got associated with television as a writer. Karamchand-Season 2, broadcasted on Sony Network in 2007 was his first work on television. Later he associated with different seasons of Comedy Circus as a writer and Associate Content Director throughout the years, which made him successful. He was also the content director of Arre Deewano Mujhe Pehchano in 2008.

As an actor, his first break was 2008 award winning movie, Firaaq. Filmistaan was his first major role, where he played the role of a Pakistani national. A Doll’s House, Inspector Matadeen Chand Par, king Lear and The Just Assassins are among his noted plays for different groups.
