Hussain Dalal is a stage actor & successful Bollywood dialogue writer best known for the movies, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Dishoom and 2 States. All these movies were box office hits. He is also an actor of television series. He appeared in Bring on the Night and Greater Elephant both released in 2012. As a film actor, he debut with 2014 horror thriller Pizza, where he played a supporting role. As per latest news, he is to write the script of an untitled film produced by Ronnie Screwvala. The movie marks the Bollywood debut of south Indian sensation Dulquer Salman, and the popular actress Mithila Palkar best known for web series ‘Girl in the City’ and 'Little Things'.

Hussain Dalal is a theater actor. His first and last love is acting. Though he has been associated with theatre for long years, and had brief stint in Bollywood as an actor as well, people remember him most as the dialogue writer of blockbuster hit, Jawaani Hai Deewani, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. Though the director Ayan Mukherji wanted him to write a few scenes, later Dalal completed the whole dialogues for the film. He received Star Guild Award for Best Dialogue for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Earlier he used to think, if he writes a script someday, it will be based on a gangster story. But he wrote the romantic dialogues for Ayan’s film, he was in search of a dialogue writer.

Though his career as a dialogue writer is in full swing, acting still is his first priority and passion. A stage actor to dialogue writer, he is to mark his debut as a screenwriter very soon. The movie is about a road trip of Dulquer Salman and Irrfan Khan, who play the lead roles in the film. Hussain Dalal’s Nescafé 'stutter ad' is also popular which made him a household name. The ad was directed by Vinil Mathew, and audience was pleased by him stammering character.
