Hitha Chandrashekar Biography

Hitha Chandrashekar is an upcoming actress associated with Kannada film actress. She is the only daughter of the popular screen pair of Doordarshan 1980s - Sihi Kahi Chandru and Sihi Kahi Geetha, who played the lead roles in the popular series, Sihi Kahi. Both the actors have played memorable character roles on Kannada big and small screen. Following her parents’ footsteps, she too joined film scene, and marked her debut with 1/4 Kg Preethi in 2017. She shot to fame with her debut film, and bagged many more projects from Sandalwood too. She came to limelight for the first time after winning Dancing Star Season 3 in 2016, one year prior to her film debut.

Hitha Chandrashekar hails from a filmy family of Bangalore. Born to veteran actor parents Sihi Kahi Chandru and Sihi Kahi Geetha, Hitha too decided to pursue the same field. As a part of the preparation of her profession, she took acting course from Roshan Taneja School of Acting, Mumbai. Hitha marked her debut with 1/4 Kg Preethi in 2017. Prior to her film debut, she contested in Dancing Star Season 3 in 2016, and emerged as the winner. Duniya 2, Onthara Bannagalu and Thurthu Nirgamana are the movies in which she is currently working.

She is a trained dancer, and has learnt Kathak for more than 8 years before she appeared in the reality show. Nirupama Rajendra and TS Rajendra are her teachers in Kathak. Her success in the dance reality show, Dancing Star Season 3 has also helped her to bag many Kannada film projects. She had keen interest in performing arts since childhood.
