Hima Davis Biography

Hima Davis is a Malayalam film actress who played lead role in Malayalam movie - Mumbai Police opposite Prithviraj and Jayasurya, essaying Rebacca, the role of a police officer in the movie. The movie was directed by Roshan Andrews. Mumbai Police marked her debut in tinsel town. Before that she was first seen in the reality show, Vodafone Thaka Dhimi, telecasted in Asianet. The girl with curly hair, she is also a trained dancer. Currently she is settled in Austria.

 

Hima Davis was born on 12th January 1989. She hails from Irinjalakkuda of Thrissur district, born into a Christian family. She is currently settled in Vienna, Austria. Hima dis her schooling at Little Flower Convent High School, Irinjalakuda followed by Handelsakademie, Laa an der Thaya. For higher studies she enrolled at The Open University, Milton Keynes. Hima holds a great passion towards dancing and it’s her best free time hobby too. In fact she is a trained classical dancer. Later she also trained students at Austria.

 

While she was working as a dance teacher, she sent application for a dance reality show Vodafone Thaka Dhimi, telecasted in Malayalam channel Asianet TV in India. She got selected and reached India to attend auditions. She appeared in the show, which helped her to bag a few TV ad assignments. Till then she never thought of a career choice in films. But after watching herself on small screen, she started dreaming about becoming an actress.

 

She was given the first break to films by Roshan Andrews, who casted her in his upcoming flick, Mumbai Police in 2013. She played 'Rebecca', an independent bold girl born and brought up in Mumbai. She was paired opposite to Jayasurya in this movie. The film was a commercial hit.
