Hemang Badani Biography 
Hemang Badani is a former Indian cricketer who has played several international matches for team India in the first half of 2000s. He played for India during the period 2000-2004, and served his team as an all-rounder. He is a Left-hand batsman who bowls slow left-arm orthodox style. In an international career spanning to 5 years, he played 4 tests and 40 ODIs for India, scoring a total of 94 and 867 runs respectively. He has also taken 3 wickets in ODIs. He made several appearances before he was dropped from the ODI team in 2004. He played his last ODI against Pakistan on 13 March 2004. He was also associated with Chennai Superstars team of Indian Cricket League for a brief period.
His full name is Hemang Kamal Badani. He was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu on 14 November 1976. Associated with domestic cricket for several years, he joined National team in the year 2000. He marked his ODI debut on 30 May 2000 in a match against Bangladesh, and till 2004 played 40 matches before he was dropped out. ODI against Australia in the 2000–2001 series at Pune remains his most outstanding performance of his international cricket career, where he scored his maiden and only century in any form of cricket. He scored 100 runs against Australia in that innings, where Saurav Ganguly served as captain. After that he was frequently included in team and given mid-order position till be lost his form and lost his place in Indian team.
The cricketer showed consistency in ODI matches, comparing with test matches, where he managed to score only 94 runs from 4 matches, with an average of around 15. In 2007, Badani signed up for the Indian Cricket League, and after two years he quit it to join other forms of cricket. He was selected by the Chennai Super Kings for the 2010 Indian Premier League but unfortunately, was not given an opportunity to play.
