Hazel Crowney Biography

Hazel Crowney is a British model who works in Indian movies. She also appears as a model to endorse Indian products. Her name is also spelled as Hazel Croney. Hazel started her career in Bollywood as an extra for the extra glamorous movie - Janasheen in 2004 starring Fardeen Khan. She was also featured in a popular music video – Remixed version of Leke Pehla Pehla Pyaar. Later she regularly appeared in Bollywood movies. She played the role of Ravi Kissen's love interest in Jeena Hai Toh Thok Daal, directed by Manish Vatsaly; the shooting done in Bihar.

 

Crowney was born in the London and brought up in Grosvenor Park. She has two younger sisters. After school, she studied fashion and textiles. She was spotted for the first time by an Indian crew in Thailand, where she did a small appearance in Janasheen in 2004. Very soon she bagged the video album - Leke Pehla Pehla Pyaar which was an instant hit. She got attracted by the Bollywood music and dance, and moved to Mumbai to try her luck here. Very soon she accepted many modelling offers and was seen in ads of Ponds, Nokia, HSBC and Samsung, apart from stage shows.

 

In 2007, she bagged her first film as heroine. The movie was MP3 – Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar, written and directed by Robby Grewal. She was paired with Ruslaan Mumtaz for the movie. Later Crowney was seen in several item numbers, not only in Bollywood but also for south Indian movies. In 2010, she along with a few more British artists was asked to leave the country by Raj Thackeray's Maharashtra Navnirman Sena. She has done item songs for Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara, and south Indian movies, Shankara and Jilla.
