Hardik Pandya Biography

Hardik Pandya is an Indian cricketer who plays domestic cricket for team Baroda. He is an all-rounder for his team, and also plays IPL matches. He is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm medium-fast. Associated with Indian cricket team, he also played 10 international T20 matches for team India and took 6 wickets with a bowling average of 34.25. In 2015 IPL season, he was a team member of Mumbai Indians. He was included in the team of 2016 Asia Cup and 2016 ICC World Twenty20. In January 2016 he made unbeaten 86 runs for Baroda cricket team to win Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy against Vidarbha cricket team. His innings included eight sixes.

 

Hardik was born in Choryasi, Gujarat on 11 October 1993. His full name is Hardik Himanshu Pandya. He is playing domestic cricket since 2013, as a team member of Baroda. In 2013-14 season he played a key role for his team to win Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. His 82 runs in 57 balls in the opening match of the tournament impressed former Mumbai Indians coach John Wright, alongside team members of Mumbai Indians. Wright along with his team members returned after two days to watch the youngster batting. Hardik didn’t disappoint them and his performance as an all-rounder helped him to join Mumbai Indians in the next IPL season.

 

In IPL 2015, his all-round performance against Chennai Super Kings gave him the ‘Man of the Match’ award and Sachin Tendulkar too was impressed by his performance. He displayed one similar firework innings against Kolkata Knight Riders. He scored 61 of 31 balls and won his second ‘Man of the Match’ award. Very soon he was picked up for 2016 Asia Cup and 2016 ICC World Twenty20.
