Giju John Biography

Giju John is an American singer-songwriter based in California, best known for Latin-Indian fusion music. He is also a world-ranked Salsa dancer. He is born in Kerala, and is of Indian origin. In 2018 he marked his Malayalam debut with Prithviraj starrer gangster film, Ranam. He played the pivot role of Detective Ahmed Siddique, a detective specialized for drug dealers in Detroit and Isha Talwar’s ex-boyfriend.  Giju is best known for his contributions towards musical field and his single Mas Bhangraton entered the final list of the International Song Writing competition in 2015.

Giju John was born and brought up in Kerala. Later he moved to California, where he is settled now, and enjoys success as a singer and artist of fusion music. He has awakened audiences with his versatile and energetic style since his youth. He released his debut album ‘Rang Rangeeli Yeh Duniya’ in 2007, and grabbed the attention of music lovers. He pioneered a new and unique genre of dance music called "Latin-Indian" fusion - mixing the true essence of salsa and cha-cha-cha with Indian music, which received overwhelming response. The following year he joined Salsa Mania Dance Co, and has been serving as one of the principal dancers for the past 11 years or so.

In 2011 he turned a producer and produced three movies, and made brief appearances in movies such as Love, Wrinkle-free (2011), Hola Venky! (2014) etc. In 2018, he joined Malayalam film industry with Ranam which opened to mixed reviews. But his role was well-appreciated. He has sung songs for Love, Wrinkle-free, Rang Rangeeli Yeh Duniya etc. He is the founder of Beyond Dreamz Entertainment, which focuses on music and dance projects in Latin-Indian genre.
