Gautam Gupta Biography

Gautam Gupta is a noted television actor associated with Hindi soaps. Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi and Kuch Toh Hai Tere Mere Darmiyaan are his popular shows, and he also appeared in Box Cricket League in 2016. Gautam is married to his Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi co-star Smriti Khanna since December 2017. Gautam has been a part of Bollywood films also. He played the male lead opposite Priyanka Kothari in 2007 Bollywood flick, Go. But the movie was not a commercial success. The movie was produced by Ram Gopal Varma and directed by Manish Srivastav.

He was born on April 13, 1988 into a family with links to cine world. Many of his family members and close relatives work in film industry in different roles. His father Sushil Gupta owns a post-production company. Gautam was interested in arts. But one of his friends persuaded him to join acting line. Later he too realized acting to be his real passion, attended acting classes in Mumbai and started attending auditions. He bagged his first role for 2007 Bollywood flick, Go, produced by Ram Gopal Varma. He played the role of a young, witty, carefree boy who runs away from home with his girlfriend to teach his parents a lesson.

Gautam is also a trained Bharatnatyam, Kathak and Salsa dancer. He also enrolled in a few theatre workshops, which helped him a lot later. Apart from acting, Gautam is passionate about sports too. Tennis and football are his favourite games. He feels that outdoor games play a good role to keep oneself fit. He marked his television debut in 2014 with the show, Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi as Sharman Mitesh Parekh, and later appeared in one more show - Kuch Toh Hai Tere Mere Darmiyaan.
