Diwakar Pundir Biography

Diwakar Pundir is a supermodel who won the title of Graviera Mr India in 1998. He is a well-known face of Sony Television’s Crime patrol too. He shot to fame following Mr. India contest and in 1999, he appeared in the music video of Sonu Nigam’s Deewana, for which he is remembered till. It was the title track of Deewana, ‘Ab mujhe raat din’, pictured on a snowy evening and this romantic track later gave a great breakthrough to Sony Nigam as a leading playback singer of Bollywood, who was struggling still then. This particular song is still popular among youngsters. After this music video, he has appeared in a few more music videos and acted in a few movies and television serials.

Diwakar Pundir was born in a Rajput family on 11 November 1975 in Hyderabad. After winning Mr. India title in 1998, he became a hot choice of fashion designers. He appeared in several television ads and the music video of Deewana shot him to instant fame. He was to debut Bollywood in 2003 with Mahesh Manajrekar’s Pyaar Kiya Nahin Jata. But the movie never got released! He married Anu in 2002 and due to personal conflicts they got separated 10 years later.

Diwakar made his television debut with Zee Tv show Parrivaar - Kartavya Ki Pariksha in 2007. Later he was seen in Sher dil Shergil, Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke, Parivaar Kartavya ki Pariksha, Kaali and Santaan. He played a pivot role in Don: The Chase Begins Again (2012) in the recent times. He was also seen in the movie, Do Aur Do Paanch. He has appeared in numerous Bollywood movies in supporting roles.
