Divyadarshan Biography

Divyadarshan is an upcoming actor associated with Malayalam cinema. Son of cine stars - actor Rajendran and Sandhya Rajendran, Divyadarshan comes from a family with strong film and theater background. He is the grandson of great theater artist and writer O. Madhavan and stage actress Vijayakumari. Thus he is the nephew of famous Malayalam actor – Mukesh. Divyadarshan has appeared in a few Malayalam movies like Hide n Seek, Karanavar and Mr. Bean, where he played the male lead.

 

Divyadarshan was born in Pattathanam of Kollam district as the son of film actors - Rajendran and Sandhya Rajendran. Ace theater personality O. Madhavan is his grandfather and Mukesh is his maternal uncle. Noted dancer Methil Devika is his aunt. Sport is his real passion. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration degree from IMT. He made his film debut through his home production and the movie was Hide 'N Seek, released in 2012. He shared screen space with his uncle for this movie. This movie was a perfect break to his acting career.

 

Later he acted in Malayalam movies - Mr.Bean, Teens, Avarude Veedu, Karnavar and Kootathil Oral, though none was successful. He played male lead opposite Avanthika Mohan in Mr. Bean. He played an engineering student in ‘Teens’. Anil Radhakrishnan Menon’s experimental film - Lord Livingstone 7000 Kandi is his latest release, where he worked with a huge star cast of Kunchako Boban, Sunny Wayne, Nedumudi Venu, Reenu Mathews etc. His home production’s '16th Floor' is his upcoming flick. He is also into film production business through Kalidasa Kalakendram, a renowned drama company founded by his grandfather O. Madhavan, now turned a film production company.
