Diganth Biography

Diganth Manchale, shortly known as Diganth is a Kannada film actor and model. His acting debut happened with the movie, Miss California in 2006 and gained popularity with the movie, Gaalipata in 2008 in which he played supporting role. Pancharangi (2010), Lifeu Ishtene (2011) and Parijatha (2012) are his noted performances that helped him to find place in the list of top Kannada heroes. In 2010, he appeared in Swayamwara, remake of Bollywood blockbuster Mujhse Shaadi Karogi. He has a lover boy image in Kannada movies known by the names Doodh peda and Chocolate hero and in 2013, he received SIIMA award for the Romantic star of South Indian cinema. He is to debut Bollywood with 1920 London. The movie is produced by Vikram Bhatt and directed by Tinu Desai.


Diganth is also known as Doodhpeda Diganth. Diganth Manchale was born in Sagara, Karnataka on December 28, 1983. He completed his schooling in Seva Bharathi and later studied at Tunga Mahavidyalaya, Thirthahalli. He completed Bachelor of Commerce before joining modelling. His father Krishnamurthy is a professor. He entered film industry in the year 2006 with the movie, Miss California. After a short period of struggles in the industry, with early 2010’s, he became one of the popular romantic heroes of Kannada film industry. Manasaare, Pancharangi, Dev Son of Mudde Gowda, Lifeu Ishtene and Parijatha placed him among the popular young heroes.


But these roles also type casted him as a chocolate hero and even got the nick names Doodh peda and Chocolate hero. Through his Bollywood debut, he wants to earn a new image. His debut movie, 1920 London is a sequel of Vikram Bhatt’s 1920 and this one is a horror movie. Prachi Desai plays opposite to him.
