Devika Sanjay Biography

Devika Sanjay is a budding actress belonging to Malayalam cinema, who marked her acting debut with 2018 super hit film, Jnan Prakasan, starring Fahad Fasil. The actor has won hearts with her performance in ‘Njan Prakashan’, playing the teenager Teena mol. She played with ease the role of a rebellious but brave Tina battling a life-threatening ailment in the movie. With the success of the film and new-found celebrity status, she is now at cloud nine. After this point of success, she feels that her wish has been fulfilled so early.

Devika hails from Koilandi, Kozhikode. She is a 16-year old Class X student of Kendriya Vidyalaya, East Hill, Kozhikode. It was through her teacher Renuka Sasi that Devika landed the role. Renuka knows film director Sathyan Antikad, and when he was in search for a teenager of her age to play the role of Tina on screen, she suggested Devika’s name. She is already into several extracurricular activities in school, and for the same reason she was not at all nervous to attend the audition. She felt that she is portraying herself on big screen, and some of her film dialogues are very much related to her real life, and which she uses at home.

The film was shot at Kochi, and she had to take one month break from school for film shooting. She is a huge fan of Nazriya Nazim, Dulquer Salmaan and now Fahadh, after this movie. Whenever Nazriya comes on the film set, Devika changes automatically to a Nazriya fan and used to pinch herself to see if it’s a dream or not. Devika is the daughter of Sanjay PK, a software engineer, and Sreelatha K, a civil police officer. She has one younger brother.
