Debashis Chatterjee Biography 
Professor Debashis Chatterjee is an Indian administrator and educator who served as Director of Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode from 2009-2014. He has also worked as a faculty of IIM Calcutta and IIM Lucknow, and is the founder of Center for Leadership and Human Values at IIM Lucknow. Debashis Chatterjee is also an author who has published several articles and books. He has published more than 500 publications, monographs, books and articles, and has regularly written columns for leading dailies of India such as Times of India, the Economic Times etc. He has also written columns for many international periodicals.
Debashis Chatterjee is primarily focused on education. He is credited of transforming an obscure IIM in a very challenging environment in Kozhikode, Kerala into an educational institution of national impact and a globally accredited school. He did so in a short span of only 5 years. Debashis also serves as visiting professor of several international educational institutions. He served as a Visiting Professor of McMaster University, Canada; EXCEPEAP, Paris, France and Reims School of Management, Reims France. Professo Chatterjee also functioned as Dean, Leadership Centre at S.P. Jain Centre of Management, Singapore.
He set up the first ever Indian Business Museum with contributions from top 100 Indian business houses and public institutions such as ISRO and Reserve Bank of India. He also set up Yale University – IIM Kozhikode Centre for Excellence in Academic Leadership (CEEAL) as part of the Singh-Obama initiative. He is an architect to conduct school workshops across the country. Known for his outstanding contributions to the field of Indian education, he has been honoured multiple times. Eight of his books have been published internationally which includes Timeless Leadership: 18 Sutras from the Bhagavad Gita (Wiley).
