Charles Vinoth Biography

Charles Vinoth is an actor associated with Tamil entertainment industry, best known for antagonist role. He has done supporting and negative roles on silver screen and is also known as an actor. He shot to fame after playing antagonist in his debut flick Madras (2014) won him a nomination for Vijay Award for Best Villain. Vinoth earned recognition in the industry through this single role. He shared screen space with megastar Rajinikanth for 2016 blockbuster, Kabali.  Venkat Prabhu's Massu Engira Masilamani (2015) and Yeidhavan (2017) are other films in which he played lead villain role. As of now he has acted in around 8 movies since 2015, mostly associated with action dramas.

He was born on 6 May 1967 in Tamil Nadu. He is basically a sportsman, and doesn’t own any background in acting or entertainment. He was an introvert and of shy type too. After completing his education, Charles Vinoth briefly worked in shipping industry. He worked for around 7 years. However he lost interest in this job which was routine and so left it. At that point of time, one of his friends suggested him to try acting line. But he was a little surprised, as he was a sportsman. That’s how he got into theatre, to change his introvert character. He also had some issue in his job, and he took it as a reason to say good bye to his shipping job.

He was quite regular in theatre and has been associated with the production house Dr Shoe Maker, long before he joined film industry. Earlier he was associated with street plays followed by stage plays. Through regular practices, he got experiments in acting. He got his first break through 2014 political drama, Madras, and there was no turning back after that. Kolamavu Kokila and Traffic Ramasamy are his recent releases.
