Chandra Pemmaraju Biography 
Chandra Pemmaraju is an English film maker and screenwriter of Indian origin who has directed many Indian-American independent movies. May beetle, Kissing Miss Jones and Love Lies and Seeta are his directorial ventures till now, for which he wrote script as well. His movies have been regularly screened at several international film festivals earning him critical acclaim. In 2008, his debut movie, Premiered at the New Film Makers Film Festival, Anthology Archives in New York. Love Lies and Seeta (2012) was the Official Selection at the NFDC Film Bazaar, International Film Festival of India 2011. Love Lies and Seetha is his best work up to date is a romantic comedy film which marked the feature film debut of Melanie Kannokada. It was his first full-length feature film too and he took two long years to complete the movie.
He was born and brought up in Andhra Pradesh, India. Since childhood he used to watch the classic hits of Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Bengali — made since the 1950s. He was so craze in movies that he may watch the same movie, first time at matinee and second show at some another theatre. He was good in studies as well. The style and vision of directors influence him a lot. He watched classic hits of great Telugu filmmakers like L. V. Prasad, C. V. Reddy, Krishna Vamsi etc.
As a film maker he started off by making short films and independent films in NYC. He chose subjects like dark comedy which entertain the crowds. He believes that audience are very intelligent and when a filmmaker make one movie, it should entertain the crowd and worth enough to buy one ticket. Love Lies and Seeta is a fun young urban film with a distinct flavor, completely shot at New York.
