Brahmaji Biography

Brahmaji is a popular character artist associated with Telugu cinema. One of the most soft-spoken actors in Tollywood, he played lead roles in Samakka Sarakka, Inspector, Kaki, Idea, Andariki Vandanalu, Adhyakshaa, Dhoom Dham, Abbo Vaada, Kumbakonam, and N.H-5. He has played some memorable character roles onscreen too. As a film actor, he is a permanent fixture in almost every Krishna Vamsi films since his debut film. In fact he worked as a lead actor in Vamsi’s Sindhooram, and also in supporting roles in director’s first two films – Gulabi and Ninne Pelladata, and many movies later too. This veteran actor of Tollywood is currently planning for his directorial debut, but the project is not announced yet.

Brahmaji was born on 25th April 1965 in East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh. Currently he resides in Film Nagar, Hyderabad. He joined film screen in the mid-1980s, and worked in supporting roles during his early days before promoted to lead roles. He was seen for the first time onscreen in 1986 film, Mannemlo Monagadu starring Arjun, Vennela etc. He was seen as a drunkard in Muddula Mavayya and Bhavani's henchman in Shiva – his noted roles of 1980s. He moved to lead roles in the 1990s and received limited success. Once again he continued with supporting roles.

He is known to maintain a cordial rapport with all the actors in the industry, and owns a good friends circle in the industry. He has also portrayed the lead hero’s best pal in his many releases in the recent times. The actor has worked with Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, Chiranjeevi and then Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR,  Allu Arjun and is now acting alongside the youngsters.
