Bobby Jose Kattikad Biography

Bobby Jose Kattikad is a religious priest of Christianity from Alapuzha, Kerala. He is a Roman Catholic priest from Order of Friars Minor Capuchin in India, Ordination conducted on 27 December 1995. He has authored several books, and has made brief appearances for Malayalam movies. He writes books on spirituality. He also presents the religious show, Gurucharanam on Shalom TV India in Malayalam. Through this show, he is a popular figure across Kerala. He writes columns for the religious magazine, Theo Manushyasnehi, and serves as its editor too. He played himself in a brief role in 2017 Malayalam film, Sunday Holiday.

Bobby Jose Kattikad is popularly known as 'Bobbyachan' or 'Fr. Bobby Jose Capuchin'. He is best known for his preaching and evangelization through different media such as radio and television. He is also an author and publisher who founded Theo Publications in 2002, and the publishing house publishes books on Christianity and Spiritual world. He writes columns and publishes books as well. Some of his published books include – Manushyasnehi, Sanchaariyude Daivam, Keli, Vaathil, Moonaam Pakkam, Thapassu, Koottu, Ordinary, Aval, Pravachakan, Akam, Nilathezhuthu, Hridaya vayal etc.

Kattikad was born at Thumpoly, Alappuzha district in 1968. He talks on spirituality and philosophy on television shows, public discussions and also through his writings, and his thoughts are not bounded just to Christianity. His shows on television make him a celebrated person among Malayalis. His books are also huge in demand. He conducts retreats every month. Relaxation and rest is the motto of the retreat, and the people who visit here once return later. The centre is situated at a place called Kovilthottam in between Karunagappally and Kollam.
