Binnu Dhillon Biography

Binnu Dhillon is a Punjabi actor best known for lead and comic roles. He played lead role on screen, most notably Bailaras in 2017, directed by Ksshitij Chaudhary, which marked his debut as a producer. The movie received mixed response. He is associated with Punjabi cinema as an actor since 2002, and has been working here for 18 years till now. As an actor in lead and supporting roles, Binnu has essayed around 50 film roles on Punjabi screen. He turned a film producer in 2017. He co-produced Bailaras in 2017, which he played the lead role, followed by Vadhayiyaan Ji Vadhayiyaan and he produced Jhalle in 2019. He is a television actor and bangra artist turned film actor and producer.

Binnu Dhillon was born on 29 August 1975 in Dhuri, Punjab. He completed his schooling from Guru Teg Bahadur Public School. As he wanted to pursue a career in the field of acting and entertainment, he did post-graduate degree in theatre and television from Punjabi University, Patiala. Dhillon began his career as a Bhangra performer and earned initial success in this field. He even performed in foreign countries like Germany and UK, mostly as a part of Indian festivals and Indian cultural events conducted by Indian groups. He also worked in television and appeared in Tv soaps before he forayed to silver screen playing supporting and comic roles.

Binnu Dhillon’s first Tv show was Paddu, aired in 1998. Gaoundi Dharti, Sirnaave, Jugnu Hazir Hai, Jugnu Mast Mast, Man Jeetey Jag Jeet, Channo Chan Vargi, Professor Money Plant, Padam Paria etc are some of his TV appearances. He also worked in telefilms during this time period. He established as a comic actor on big screen through the memorable roles of Carry On Jatta, Tu Mera 22 Main Tera 22, Lucky Di Unlucky Story, Sirphire, Raula Pai Gaya etc.
