Biju Menon Biography

Biju Menon is an Indian actor who concentrated in Malaylam, Telugu and Tamil films. He acted in both supporting roles and antagonistic roles. His debut film was in 1995,  Mannar Mathai Speaking. His performance in the films like Meghamalhar, Shivam, Kannezhuthi Pottum Thottu, Krishnagudiyil Oru Pranayakalathu and Maykkundoru Kunjaadu gained much welcome and made him famous.

 

He was born on 3rd February 1970 in Thrissur in Kerala. His parents are Madathil P. N. Balakrishna and Malathi Amma. He has four brothers Soman, Suresh, Rajendran and Sreekumar. He married the former Malayalam actress Samyuktha Varma. She acted with him in the films Mazha, Madhuranombarakattu and Meghamalhar.

 

He started his career in acting through the Malayalam films Ningalude Swantham Chanthu and Mikhayelinte Santhathikal. His debut film was Puthran. Though his films failed, he was made famous for his supporting roles. He acted in many films with Suresh Gopi like Pathram, Chinthamani Kolacase and F. I. R. He has worked with many directors like T. V. Chandran Lenin Rajendran and Kamal.

 

He is the favorite of the director Lal Jose. He acted in many of his movies like Oru Maravathoor Kanavu, Chandranudikkunna Dikhil, Rasikan, Chathupottum Mulla, Pattalam  and Ramdaam Bhavam.  

 

He acted in Malayalam films like Arjunan Saakshi, Pranchiyettan and the Saint, Janakan Monai, Aagathan, April Fool, Daddy Cool, Red Chillies, Kaana Kanmani, Parayan Marannathu, Robinhood, Thambi, Kurukshetra, June R, Anathabhadram, Keerthi Chakra, Anyar, Ivar, Chronic Bachelor, etc. The Tamil films that he acted are Porkkalam, Arasangam, Thambi, Aran, Alibaba, etc. Ranam and Khatarnak are his Telugu films.

 

He won the Kerala State Film Award for Second Best Actor for his role in the films Krishnagudiyil Oru Pranayakalathu and T. D. Dasan Std. VI B. He got Best Supporting Actor award for the film Marykkundoru Kunjaadu and Gadhama, Asianet Film Awards for the films, Meghamalhar, Millennium Stars, Pathram, and Kannezhuthi Pottum Thottu, Filmfare Awards South for Best Supporting Actor for the film Marykkundoru Kunjaadu and Vanitha Film Award.
