Bhuvaneswari Biography

Bhuvaneswari is a south Indian film actress, known for her supporting roles in films. She also gained immense popularity playing negative characters in Tamil soap operas. She started her career with films, received limited success and later moved to small screen gaining popularity and recognition. Known as a snake beauty, she was shot to fame with Shankar's Boys film playing the pivot role of Rani, the prostitute and acted in films like Gudumba Shankar later. An irony, she was later caught for flesh trade in 2014 grabbing news headlines. She has also played lead roles in a few movies and Kurkure was her first film in a lead role.

 

Bhuvaneswari hails from Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh. She started her career in modelling before moving to films. She was first seen in the television show, Chithi in 1999. She started her film journey in year 2000 playing supporting roles, and earned initial recognition through Shankar's Boys in 2003. Though her role as a prostitute was small, it was of great significance in the movie. After that she was offered a few more noted supporting roles. When her opportunities in films got dried up, she resorted to some of the illegal activities like flesh trade and got arrested many times for the prostitution charges. She is known to have a good rapport with many of the politicians and film celebrities in real life.

 

Though Bhuvaneswari got limited success in films, she earned recognition through small screen roles. Raja Rajeswari, Chithi, Thekkathi Ponnu, Oru Kai Osai, Chandralekha and Pasamalar are among her popular TV soaps. She earned recognition playing negative roles. She has also appeared in brief roles and item songs on big screen.
