Bhumika Chawla Biography 
Bhumika Chawla is an Indian actress and her original name was Rachna Chawla. Her debut film was Yuvakudu in the year 2000 and since then she has acted in more than thirty films in many languages such as Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Bhojpuri, Malayalam and Punjabi. She is noted for her performance in the film Kushi, Tere Naam, Gandhi, My Father and Sathyabhama.
She was born on 21st August 1978 in New Delhi in India in a Punjabi family. She completed her schooling in New Delhi and her father is an army officer. She moved to Mumbai in the year 1997 and started her career by acting in Hindi music video albums. She showed her face in the Zee TV series Hip Hip Hurray.
She started her film career through the feature film Yuvakudu in Telugu film industry with actor Sumanth. Her second release is Kushi in the year 2001 with Pawan Kalyan. This was a big commercial success and got her Filmfare Best Actress Award. She acted in the film Okkadu in Telugu in 2003 with Mahesh Babu and Vijay. Then she appeared in the Tamil film Roja Koottam in 2002.
After a series of South Indian films, she entered Bollywood and acted in Tere Naam in 2003 with Salman Khan. This film was a huge commercial success. Her performance won many positive reviews. She was nominated for Best Debut in many award ceremonies. She won the Best Debut trophy at the Zee Cine Awards ceremony.
Then she acted in the film Run, Dil Ne Jise Apna Kahaa, Silsay, Dil Jo Bhi Kahey, Naa Autograph, Jai Chiranjeeva, etc. She got CineMAA Jury Award for Best Actress. She appeared in the film Sillunu Oru Kaadhal in 2006 in Tamil film industry. She acted with Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar in the film Family-Ties of Blood.
She married her boyfriend Bharat Thakur on 21st October 2007. She dated with Thakur for four years and married him. She has one elder brother who is an army officer, and an elder sister.
