Bharath Reddy Biography

Bharath Reddy is a south Indian actor who appears in Tamil and Telugu language films. He is also a doctor by profession, who balances both these professions with ease. Unnaipol Oruvan (2009), a remake of Neeraj Pandey’s thriller – A Wednesday is his most memorable role, where he essayed a police officer. He is associated with film industry since 2006. He is fully active in film industry right now, and series of 6 films are in production stage, which may get released in 2018 or 2019. He was most recently seen in Telugu/Hindi bilingual, The Ghazi Attack. Ragada, Greeku Veerudu, Payanam, Ragalaipuram, Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal etc are some of his noted works in the recent times.

 

Bharath Reddy was born on October 22, 1974 in Tirupathi, Andhra Pradesh. He was brought up in Chennai, where he completed his schooling. Later he took his medical degree from Yerevan State Medical University in Armenia. He also completed his Diploma in Cardiology and started work as a Junior Consultant Cardiologist at Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad. His wife Manila is a gynaecologist.

 

As a film actor his first credited role is Oka V Chitram in 2006. He got initial recognition through the films, Siddham and Unnaipol Oruvan and both released in 2009. Before that he mostly did brief roles as extra and henchman, and roles of less importance. In fact Chakri Toleti was impressed by his role in Siddham and selected him for the role of police officer in bilingual - Unnaipol Oruvan, the role through which he is still recognized. He worked with actor Venkatesh for the first time in this film, who recommended Bharath’s name for his next flicks - Ragada and Greeku Veerudu.
