Benny P. Nayarambalam Biography 
Benny P. Nayarambalam is a successful screenwriter associated with Malayalam cinema, since early 1990s. He is an accomplished playwright too, and many of his hit dramas have been adopted to big screen and became major hits too. He made his debut in films as screenwriter in 1992 through First Bell, directed by P. G. Viswambharan, and since then he is fully engaged in the field.
He has spent more than 25 years in the industry, and has written/co-written Malayalam scripts such as Junior Mandrake, Five Star Hospital, Kalyanaraman, Chotta Mumbai, Annan Thampi, Lollipop, Thommanum Makkalum, Naranathu Thampuran, Marykkundoru Kunjaadu, Welcome to central jail, Bhaiyya Bhaiyya, Puthiya Theerangal, Kunjikoonan, Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus, Spanish Masala, Chattambinad and Chanthupottu. Velipadinte Pusthakam in 2017 is his most recent release.
He has written scripts for many Mammootty and Dileep movies in the recent times, of which his association with Dileep remained successful. In fact two big hits of Dileep’s career, which are regarded as milestone movies of his career, Kunjikoonan (2002) and Chanthupottu (2005) were the screen adaption of two hit plays written by Benny. Those theatre plays are Vikalanga Varsham and Arabikkadalum Adbudavilakkum respectively. Dileep starrer - Kalyanaraman, Marykkundoru Kunjaadu and Welcome to Central Jail also became major hits. In fact Kalyanaraman and Marykkundoru Kunjaadu were major blockbusters.
Benny P. Nayarambalam started his career with theatre before moving to films in the early 1990s. He was a successful playwright, stage actor and play director. Most of his screenplays have a flavour of humour and some heart touching moments. Since school days he used to write stories, but he never imagined to become a playwright or screenwriter. He wrote skits for youth festivals while at college, and also for magazines. He hails from Nayarambalam and is married to Fulja and has two children.
