Atulkrishna Ghosh Biography 
Atulkrishna Ghosh was an Indian revolutionary from Bengal associated with Jugantar movement and Anushilan Samiti. He was closely associated with Jatindranath Mukherjee and his revolutionary activities and was also involved in Hindu German Conspiracy during World War I.
Atul was born in 1890 in Nadia district, now in Bangladesh. Taresh Chandra and Binodini Devi were his parents and he had 5 siblings. His nephew Jitendranath Basu was later associated with his revolutionary movements. Atul completed Matriculation in 1909 from the Kolkata Hindu School and while studying final year graduation at Presidency College, Kolkata, he discontinued his studies for political commitment. Noted scientists - Satyendra Nath Bose and Megh Nad Saha and writer Sailen Ghosh were his hostel mates in those days.
He got associated with Jatindranath Mukherjee, who was his neighbour at Kushtia Sub-division and they together joined Anushilan Samiti. Later he became Jatin Mukherjee’s right-hand man in the revolutionary activities. Atul became an expert trainer in self-defence at the Pataldanga branch of the Anushilan Samiti. He along with Jatin founded the revolutionary organization, Pathuriaghata Byam Samity. Sachin Sanyal and Biren Datta Gupta are among the noted revolutionaries associated with this group.
When Jatin left Kolkata in 1911 following his arrest and release of Howrah conspiracy case, he suspended all extremist activities and left Kolkata under the responsibility of Atul. As an organizer he sheltered revolutionaries at Jaduboyra and provided them homely meals as well. Later a few members of Anushilan Samiti formed a new branch of the Seva Samiti under Atulkrishna Ghosh. His brother Amar Ghosh, was also an important figure of this organization. He died in Kolkata in 1966.
