Anusmriti Sarkar Biography

Anusmriti Sarkar is a budding Tollywood actress. She is active in Telugu cinema since 2011, and has also appeared in a very few Bengali and Hindi films. In 2019 she marked her Bollywood debut with crime thriller, One Day: Justice Delivered, which opened to mixed reviews. She shared screen space with veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher for the movie. She played the supporting role of Shagufta in the movie. The movie also starred Esha Gupta, Kumud Mishra and Zakir Hussain in pivot roles. She has been a part of several Telugu films, playing both lead and supporting roles. Bikram Singha: The Lion Is Back and Bhorer Alo are among her noted Bengali movies.

Anusmriti Sarkar hails from Kolkota, West Bengal. She was born on 23 October 1991 to Animesh Sarkar and Anita Sarkar. She started her professional career through modelling at the age of 17 and later joined cine field. She marked her screen debut with south Indian films, before making a mark in Bengali film industry as well. In 2011, two of her movies got released - Vankai Fry in Telugu in a lead role followed by Bhorer Alo in Bengali, where she played a double role. Since then she has received many film offers, mostly from Tollywood. She mostly played supporting roles on screen.

As a successful model, she has been a part of several ad campaigns, and also appeared in TV and print ads. She supports healthy environment through her campaigns. In 2019 she had her first Hindi release - One Day: Justice Delivered. Two more Bollywood movies - Jaane Yeh Kaisa Ishq and O Pushpa I hate tears are in the pipeline. She also appears in Telugu movie, Suswagatham.
