Antony Perumbavoor Biography 
Antony Perumbavoor is a film producer and actor associated with Malayalam cinema. He is best known for financing movies of Mohanlal. He is also known as the good friend and right hand of the legendary actor. Antony has succeeded as a successful film producer, distributor, exhibitor and actor in Malayalam film industry. In 2000, he established the production house Aashirvad Cinemas, and this company exclusively produces Mohanlal films. He is also a successful businessman and entrepreneur who owns multiplex theatre chain, Aashirvad Cineplexx and co-owns the film distribution company Maxlab Cinemas and Entertainments. He currently serves as the president of Film Exhibitors United Organisation of Kerala since 2017.
His full name is Malekudy Joseph Antony, and in film industry he is better known as Antony Perumbavoor. He hails from Perumbavoor of Ernakulam district. Joseph and Elamma are his parents. He is married to Shanthi and the couple has two children. He joined film industry in 1987 as a temporary driver in the filming location of Mohanlal’s Pattanapravesham. After 30 years he is one of the most successful and reputed film producers and distributors of Malayalam film industry, with many of his films winning national and state awards.
He worked as a chauffeur to Mohanlal in Pattanapravesham’s 22 days long shooting schedule. The following year while he was a spectator for the shooting of Mohanlal’s film, Moonnam Mura the actor recognized him from the crowd and invited to join again as chauffeur. Very soon he became Lal’s permanent chauffeur. He also regularly appeared in brief roles in many of Mohanlal films later. In 2009, Antony along with Mohanlal and industrialist K. C. Babu established the film distribution company Maxlab Cinemas and Entertainments. Sagar Alias Jacky Reloaded was the first movie produced under this banner.
